5 Home Remedies to Strengthen Fragile Nails






Fragile nails are a problem that affects the aesthetic value of your hands. It not only affects a person’s self esteem but also it makes it difficult to perform the manicure and other beauty treatments.

This can occur as a consequence of a nutritional deficiency, exposure to chemicals from cleaning products or to some disease.

Although it does not directly affect health, it is very uncomfortable because it interrupts the normal growth of the nails and makes them not look good.

The good news is that there are several cosmetic treatments that allow you to strengthen the fragile nails so that they remain beautiful and without imperfections.

In this post, we want to share only home-made natural remedies thinking about all the people who cannot invest in the expensive cosmetic products available in the market.

1. Olive oil
The essential fatty acids and antioxidants that olive oil contains are excellent nutrients to improve nail structure.

Ingredients:
• ¼ cup olive oil (60 g)
• 5 drops of lemon juice

Method of preparation & usage:
• Mix the lemon and the olive oil.
• Store the mixture in the refrigerator.
• Dip your nails in the mixture for 15 minutes. Repeat the treatment every day.

2. Papaya with Almond oil & Eggs
This homemade nail and cuticle mask contains nutrients that help maintain natural moisture for your nails while strengthening them.

Ingredients:
• 2 tablespoons papaya juice (20 ml)
• ½ teaspoon almond oil (2.5 g)
• 1 tablespoon egg yolk

Method of preparation & usage:
• Put the three ingredients in a bowl and stir until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
• Take an enamel brush and apply it on the nails and cuticles.
• Leave on for 30 minutes and rinse with cold water.
• Repeat the treatment every day.

3. Sodium bicarbonate
Baking soda is another very useful product to strengthen the nails. Its antiseptic properties prevent fungi and help prevent nails from breaking down.

Ingredients:
• 1 tablespoon baking soda (10 g)
• 1 cup water (250 ml)

Method of preparation & usage:
• Put a spoonful of baking soda in a cup of warm water and dip your nails in the mixture for 15 minutes.
• Repeat the treatment 3 times a week


4. Mint and chamomile
The treatment of mint and chamomile is a very healthy tonic to protect the nails from the aggression of the environment.

Ingredients:
• 2 tablespoons of chamomile (20 g)
• 4 mint leaves
• 1 cup water (250 ml)
• 1 tablespoon olive oil (14 g)
• 2 tablespoons wheat flour (20 g)

Method of preparation & usage:
• Mix the chamomile and the mint leaves in a cup of boiling water
• Let stand for 30 minutes
• Once the mixture is normal, add the olive oil and the wheat flour.
• Store the solution in a small container and rub it on the nails and cuticles.
• Leave on for half an hour and rinse with fresh water.

5. Castor oil and vitamin E
Castor oil has essential fatty acids that moisturize and protect the nails. Combined with a little vitamin E, we get a strengthening solution that will make the nails stronger and brighter than ever.

Ingredients:
• 1 tablespoon castor oil (14 g)
• 5 drops of vitamin E

Method of preparation & usage:
• Mix vitamin E with castor oil and apply on nails using a brush.
• Repeat the process every day.
