5 Effective Home Remedies To Prevent Oily Skin






Homemade facials for oily skin are easy to make and the ingredients are usually available at home. They are excellent remedies to make oily skin look healthier and radiant. The natural ingredients ensure that they are safe to use and can be applied once or twice a week.

1.) Green Tea and Honey Homemade Facial for Oily Skin
Tea bags are not only used to reduce dark circles under the eyes, the tea can also be used for an effective facial. Take 2 teaspoons of green tea and add 1 teaspoon of honey, 2 teaspoons of clay and 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera gel to form a smooth paste. Take 1 tablespoon of cucumber juice and add 1 egg white, a few drops of lemon juice and ½ teaspoon clay to form a smooth paste. Apply to the face carefully and avoid contact with the eyes. Rinse thoroughly using tepid water after 10-20 minutes. This mask can be used for oily skin once every week.

4.) Banana and Yogurt Homemade Facial for Oily Skin
Bananas are delicious and packed with nutrients and also great for the skin. Take 1 tablespoon of a mashed banana and add 1 tablespoon yogurt, 5 drops of peppermint essential oil and ½ teaspoon clay to form a smooth paste. Apply to the face and neck carefully and avoid contact with the eyes. Rinse thoroughly using cool water after 10 to 15 minutes. This mask can be used once a week to reduce oiliness.

Citrus fruits like oranges can work wonders on oily skin. Take 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed orange juice and add 1 teaspoon of Aloe Vera gel to form a smooth paste. Apply to the face carefully and avoid contact with the eyes. Rinse thoroughly using tepid water after 10 to 15 minutes.
